I'll figure it out eventually
I stare at the screen thinking of something clever to write
Nothing
I was in Nakuru for an application the other day.
Spare a thought for the assessor/juror in Nakuru High Court who midway through a murder trial realises he's meant to be heading out to the U.S. for a three week holiday.
So the judge orders him arrested on the eve of the holiday.
After all, three men are accused of murder and have been languishing in the cells for three years!
Their trial ain't stopping for the assessor to go on holiday!
So the assessor pleads but the judge ain't having it
"Sorry you'll have to miss your trip and you are to stay in custody until the conclusion of the trial"
Would I have decided differently?
Would you?
And so the assessor is led off to the cells alongside the men whose case he is meant to listen to and pass judgement over the very next day!
Now there's got to be something wrong with that picture!
