Something just doesn't smell right!
All the same, awhile back I felt some apprehension about this!
Then comes this:
One of major organizers of Congress of World and Traditional Religions in Astana convicted of murder
Moscow, September 4, Interfax - The Alma Ata Regional Court has sentenced Yerjan Utembaev, former head of the Kazakhstan Senate staff, to 20-year imprisonment for having organized the murder of opposition leader Altynbek Sarsenbaev and his two assistants.
Earlier Utembaev had also been Kazakhstan deputy prime minister and deputy head of the Kazakhstan presidential administration. Since 2004 he has been head of the Senate staff. In 2003, he directed the preparations for the 1st Congress of World and Traditional Religions in Astana and later was actively involved in preparations for the next Congress, directing the work of its secretariat.
It is still unknown how Utembaev’s sentence will tell upon the 2nd Congress of World and Traditional Religions in Astana.
