On Naija and Italy

Still in Naija!
Still lovin it - yesterday went through the traditional ceremony and now have the official blessing to take my Lady home!
Today we went unprepared for a meeting which turned out to be with the DEPUTY GOVERNOR Plateau State!
So there was the media etc and full ceremony - it was great!
Unfortunately due to the absence of warning all we had to offer in return was a "symbolic" token - a small box of kenyan tea!
Oh well - these things happen!
So I'll be watching the news tonight to see if we made it on there!
And so here I am at a lovely air conditioned cyber and feeling like home!

Now a few weeks back, my two top predictions to win the World Cup were Italy followed by Germany, in that order!
At the time I believe Mental's comment was:

Italy will meet their match in the Oranje team... if Italy gets that far, that is.

Now all I hear is: The Italian Job...time to finish, I suspect Italy will win, I'll go for an Italy win in extra-time..........
You get my drift!!!

And then of course there's this deafening silence from Mental other than a random rant along the lines of: "Argentina had as much chance of winning this world as I do in making a rap music video swimming with dolphins"

Mental? Mental? Anything to say???????

Digz guy! Ala! My predictions were for football. Not for diving, boxing, acting, biting, show boating, elbowing, and stamping which is what the Italians have been doing. If I had known these World Cup referees would be more gullible than a kid in a sweet shop I might have had a different prediction blueprint! Joga Bonito my friend, joga bonito!

ok, i thot the only way Italy were ever gonna win the World Cup was by hosting it and fixing it, but ...

they've gone and surprised us ... and playing uncharacteristically open, flowing footie ... good for the Azzurri, hope they win it, tho' the stats seem to favor France.
